Three eras of Hamilton housing, three sets of faults
Hamilton is unusual locally in that it holds three quite different housing eras side by side, and each one brings its own window problems. The sandstone villas and townhouses around Silvertonhill and the town centre have tall, narrow openings and deep reveals. Repairs there are as much about matching the look as fixing the fault, because a heavy modern frame in a slim Victorian opening never sits right.
